Using Data Archive

Use Data Archive to access archival data from legacy systems. Data Archive allows an easy search for data so you can access the information and enter it into your current records application. For example, your agency moves to Enterprise Records. The data from your legacy system is loaded into Data Archive. An new break in a cold case occurs. You log onto Data Archive, and search for the old record. After you find it, you type the information into Enterprise Records and add the new information from the investigation into the new record. All data from the cold case has been moved to the new records system and it has been updated. As new information is revealed during the investigation, it can be added to Enterprise Records.
